 Our entire school district is connected with Cisco "Catalyst 3500 Series XL" Switches. All computers connect to the switches with 10/100Mbit speed. The switches are then connected between network cabinets and school buildings via fiber optics with a Gigabit backbone.
All computers in Scott County School District 1 are connected to the LAN and WAN thru the above Switches and to the Internet through Cisco 2600 and 3600 series routers, and Cisco PIX Firewalls. Our school is connected to the Internet via dual high speed dedicated T1 Lines.
